The History
About Intellic
The Intellic Group is an international, innovative high-tech company with headquarters in Austria and Competence Center in Germany. History of the Intellic Group dates back to 1998 when the company was one of the technology leaders in the field of Electronic Tolling and Intelligent Traffic Systems. In 2007 Intellic grew out of Efkon AG, internationally re-known as leading company for ITS solutions and tolling systems.
Intellic today is privately owned with a distribution network in more than 50 countries.
The Past
Where it all started
In 2007 the company was acquired from Efkon AG, an international market-leader in ITS Solutions and Tolling Systems. In 2011 Helmut Rieder, CEO and founder of Efkon AG, made a management buy-out and founded the Intellic Group, which is privately owned and focused on long term development. The company has a distribution network in more than 50 countries.
The Present

Since the beginning, the Intellic Group has been active in digital tachograph technology and approved as an European Tachograph manufacturer designing latest state of the art products for the intelligent transportation systems sector.
The Group is committed to developing innovative products for their customers with a wide range of after-sales products in the field of Digital Tachographs and Smart Tachographs. The most important products of the portfolio of the Intellic Group, the Digital Tachograph EFAS 4.8 and the Smart Tachograph EFAS 5, record activities of drivers to ensure compliance with social legislation.
Intellic is an officially authorized manufacturer of digital tachographs and smart tachograph developed to comply with all relevant EU tachograph regulations ((EC) No. 1360/2002, 1266/2009,165/2014 and 2016/799).
The Future
The EFAS Tachograph
The EFAS tachographs collect data to be enhanced by Fleet Services, Pay as you Drive and truck engine parameters. The aim of the Intellic Group is to provide, through constant technological and innovative development of EFAS, new applications in the rapidly growing market for intelligent transportation systems.
